The Rise Above 88 with 3D radius sidecut is the most versatile ski in the new touring line.
Its strengths lie in both ascent and descent performance.
The hybrid Tourlite wood core provides low weight (1,186 g at 177 cm length) as well as stability and running smoothness.
Particularly in wind-blown conditions, the extremely disturbance-resistant shovel of the 3D radius construction shines.
The sidecut geometry provides maximum liveliness and agility in tight passages, while the continuous sidewall provides good stability and durability.
The combination of pronounced waist width under the foot and moderate waist width in the shovel and end areas provides increased control and requires less effort even on tours with heavy gear.

Of course, the Rise Above 88 also features the new Smart Skinclip System, which allows the use of Fibre-Tech or Smart-Glue skins.

3D Radius Sidecut
Three radii in one ski for maximum turn responsiveness and speed in all-mountain use.

Tourlite Woodcore
Particularly lightweight, complex laminated wood core specifically developed for touring skis.
In the area around the steel edges, carefully hand-selected poplar wood by weight provides necessary stability, while in the ski's center, soft and lightweight paulownia wood ensures the ski's flexibility.
Beech wood in the binding area provides necessary reinforcement to hold the binding screws.
In the core's center, a CNC-milled Isocore section contributes to optimal liveliness and dynamic performance.
Only the lightest batch of each wood shipment makes it into these cores.

Smart Skinclip
The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows ski tourers themselves to decide, depending on the situation, in which direction they want to attach and remove the skins.
At the ski end, a standard snap hook allows attaching and removing skins from the back.
In addition, the skins can be quickly and easily attached and removed from the front.
This flexibility is enabled by an elastic snap hook that is easy to grip even with gloves.
A subtle depression in the shovel provides the hook with lateral guidance and security against unintended skin release while walking.
