With a bit of luck, you'll walk into Sport Schindele and be greeted by senior owner Alban Schindele. Selling sports equipment has a long history here: more than 60 years ago, he and his wife Luise opened Schuh- und Sporthaus Schindele. The premises have since been modernised and have grown considerably. Shoe and sporting goods sales began in 1958 on a modest 27 square metres of floor space. Today that area has grown almost a hundredfold: across 2,700 square metres of retail space, customers find a wide selection of footwear, sports and mountaineering equipment, and bicycles. The passion and love for giving good advice have remained. Mountain and ski sports expertise runs in the family. Christoph Schindele leads the family business in its third generation, together with his parents Angelika and Wilhelm Schindele, his grandparents, and around 60 motivated members of staff.
