Selun Race 98
The Selun RACE98 is made of high-strength aluminium. The alloy, developed for aircraft construction, withstands extreme cold and bending loads.
The sophisticated design, which focuses on reducing weight while improving stability and performance, results in the lightest pin binding.

Adjustable locking mechanism

The adjustable locking mechanism is compatible with
all touring boot models. The adjustable,
secure holding force is of central importance in competition.
Ergonomic release
Thanks to the very flat locking lever, the lock can be released very quickly during a race, either by stepping on the ski or the touring boot, or by hand.
Contraction spring in the binding front
With the help of FEM analysis, every single component of the racing binding is weight-optimised, ensuring stability and functionality under demanding racing conditions.
The weight savings on the heavy steel components are considerable.

Contraction spring in the binding front
The heart of the binding system is the groundbreaking innovation that makes the decisive difference. The contraction spring between the toggle levers serves as both spring element and pivot joint.
By reducing the number of heavy steel components, an unrivalled weight saving is achieved. The contraction spring creates gentle friction in the pivot joint, which holds the ski boot securely in place during the descent.
Stopper with optimal
parking position
In the parking position, the stopper is retracted above the ski so that no components protrude beyond the ski edges. This clever design prevents the ski from tipping over by the stopper feet catching.
Heel piece in walking position
With the Slide Lock, Selun has achieved another groundbreaking innovation that clearly sets itself apart from the state of the art. The slider is pushed forward with one hand, the stopper is brought into the parking position and the slider is locked in walking position. The minimal climbing aid allows a stride at least 3 cm longer than with conventional racing bindings. Through the sum of these steps, athletes with the Selun Race reach the finish several hundred metres ahead of their competitors. Thanks to the step position between the heel pins, the touring boot is additionally secured against lateral forces with every step, providing safety on descents with skins on during the ascent.

By pulling firmly on the slider loop, the slider unlocks, springs back and releases the pins for the descent position.

Z-values for torsion and frontal release.

Removable

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg.
