Transition Trail Bike Sentinel Alu GX black powder
Description
Its forgiving "do-it-all" attitude really blurs the line between a bottomless shredder and a playful poppy pony. Whether you are chasing EWS dreams or just heading out for a weekend ride, it will bring out the best in you. It is so easy to get comfortable on that you will find yourself riding lines, jumps and manoeuvres you always thought were beyond your abilities. Where you used to ride around, you now ride over. Where you used to push uphill, you now pedal. Where you used to roll, you can now boost.
We want to make it as easy as possible to experience great rear suspension performance. The GiddyUp suspension system is designed to behave intuitively across a wide range of settings. We understand that sometimes you just want to grab your bike and go without checking your setup. When you do, it will always feel good.
We achieved this by balancing a 25 % progressive leverage curve with a consistent, linear rate of change. The anti-squat is tuned to improve pedalling performance and acceleration. Total chain growth is moderate and reduces the level of compliance, so that chain tension does not get in the way of the suspension's work.
This results in excellent compliance over small bumps and great support in the middle of the stroke, which gradually transitions into a subtle but supportive ramp at the end of the stroke. The amount of even progression is carefully optimised for both air and coil shocks. With air shocks, riders can add or remove spacers depending on their individual riding style, and with coil shocks there is no compromise on support in the lower range. The Sentinel has 150 mm of rear wheel travel when used with the supplied 205 mm x 62.5 mm shock. It is also possible to fit a shorter shock with a 205 mm x 57.5 mm stroke to reduce the rear wheel travel to 140 mm.
A wide usable sag range of 25 - 35% allows the rider to tune the ride feel of the bike, from poppy and playful to planted and hard-charging. Wherever you land, you can concentrate on the trail, with no remotes, levers or buttons. Just grab your bike and GiddyUp.
