DMM Torque Nut Klemmkeile

DMM Torque Nuts are passive protection devices for traditional climbing. Their shape allows several orientations in suitable cracks, including parallel-sided placements. The A174 range offered here has individually selectable sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4. Choose a size for the actual placement and the rest of your protection rather than relying only on colours in a shared product image.

The body is made from an aluminium alloy. An extendable textile sling allows placement extension to improve the rope’s path. The sizes are colour coded Green, Red, Gold and Blue. DMM specifies a 14 kN breaking-strength rating for each size. Reference weights are 54, 70, 104 and 146 g for sizes 1 through 4. These laboratory and product specifications do not guarantee the strength of an arbitrary rock placement.

Before every use, inspect the metal body and sling for damage and follow the original instructions for suitable orientation, loading and retirement. Selecting and assessing removable protection requires appropriate knowledge. Ice, loose rock and an unfavourable direction of pull must be considered. Store the equipment dry and protected from chemicals or strong heat. Sling replacement should be handled through a suitable manufacturer service.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days.
