Thule Internal Hub Hitch Adapter for Shimano 20100797

The Thule Internal Hub Hitch Adapter 20100797 connects a compatible bicycle-trailer hitch to selected Shimano internal-gear hub axles. Thule identifies this version with a 3/8″-26 TPI thread for suitable solid axles, including compatible Shimano Nexus hubs. The actual axle thread and available clearance on your bicycle determine whether it fits. The Shimano name alone does not establish compatibility with every hub.

Selection and use

Have the axle identified before ordering if the thread specification is unclear. Match the adapter and hitch using Thule’s fitting instructions, and never force a mismatched thread. After fitting, check the wheel attachment, hitch and safety connection. Confirm clearance through turns and follow the instructions supplied with both the bicycle and trailer.

Care and inspection

Before riding, check that the adapter and hitch are secure and free from visible damage. Clean them gently. Have damaged threads, deformation or uncertain attachment inspected by a specialist. Follow the relevant manufacturer’s instructions for fitting, tightening and replacement.
