Atomic SKIN 78/80

The Atomic SKIN 78/80 is a pre-cut climbing skin for specific skis in the Atomic Backland range. The manufacturer identifies the Backland 78 UL, Backland 78 and Backland 80 PT as compatible models. With the correct combination, its PreFit shape avoids additional trimming. The skin uses a 70% mohair mix and hotmelt adhesive, with Atomic tip and tail clips attaching it to the corresponding ski ends.

Selection and use

Before ordering, match the ski model, generation and length. The 78/80 name does not mean universal compatibility with every touring ski of a similar width. Before ascending, check even adhesion, secure clips and adequate exposed steel edges. A clean, dry ski base helps when attaching the skin. Follow Atomic’s instructions for handling the adhesive and clips in cold conditions.

Care and inspection

Dry the skins gently after touring and keep dirt off the adhesive surfaces. Avoid direct heat. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for folding, transport and protecting the adhesive during storage, and inspect the clips before the next outing.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days.
