Ortovox Kodiak - 2020/21

Powerful shovel machine with unique excavation function and effective D-handle!
The Kodiak avalanche shovel from ORTOVOX has the largest shovel volume in the Ortovox range at 3.1 liters and can therefore be called the fastest shovel.
In addition, the blade is extremely stiff (AL 6061 T6 = best material for shovels), yet pack-friendly and fits easily in every Ortovox backpack.
The cutting edge is sharp, the top edge has slip-resistant tread ribs.
The shaft is oval (=stiff), telescoping and fitted with a grippy rubber coating.
The D-handle is considered the most ergonomic handle on the market and brings real power to the snow.
It has been made more compact compared to the previous version without losing working length.
Also new is the flat shovel blade, which is now perfect for professional snow profiles.
Unique is the excavation function.
The power connection between shaft and blade is indestructible and saves the crucial seconds when it comes to your companion's life.
The perfection of the Kodiak was also recognized by the editors of Bergsteiger magazine and the shovel was awarded the all-round tip!
