Hanwag Shoe Laces RP 220cm

The 220 cm Hanwag Shoe Laces RP are round replacement shoelaces made from recycled polyester. Reference 866220 identifies this long RP version. They are intended for footwear requiring a correspondingly long lacing path. Before choosing, measure your existing laces and allow enough extra length for your preferred knot.

According to Hanwag, RP laces use 100% recycled polyester and are made in Germany. Kernmantle construction combines an inner core with an outer sheath. A hydrophobic treatment makes the surface water-repellent. Their round shape helps them run through suitable eyelets and hooks. The length required by an individual boot still depends on lacing height, foot volume and lacing technique. Several available colours let you coordinate the laces with your footwear.

When replacing laces, check the eyelets and hooks for sharp or damaged edges. Thread the laces evenly and distribute tension along the whole boot. Walk a few steps to check heel hold and sufficient forefoot space. Secure loose ends so they cannot catch on obstacles. Gently remove dirt and allow wet laces to air dry. Substantial abrasion or damaged ends are reasons to replace the laces before they fail during use.
