The Schwalbe Marathon HS 420 in 40-559 (26 x 1.50 inch) is a touring tyre with a GreenGuard puncture protection layer. This classic version has a 3 mm protective layer and an Anti-Aging sidewall designed for everyday use. The black wired tyre with reflective stripes is used with a compatible inner tube.

Selection and fitting

Before choosing, compare the full ETRTO size with your existing tyre and rim. Check the permitted tyre width and clearance at the frame and fork. This version is used with a compatible inner tube. Observe the direction of rotation and pressure requirements on the tyre and rim during fitting. The permitted pressure of the complete wheel is governed by the applicable limits of its components.

Care and inspection

Check pressure, tread and sidewalls regularly. Carefully remove embedded objects and inspect the tyre after a hard impact or puncture. A puncture protection layer reduces the risk of certain types of damage but does not replace regular inspection. Replace the tyre if there are cracks, exposed casing or other significant damage.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Skis with binding mounting take a little longer: we mount them carefully and let you know as soon as your set is on its way. Personal advice is available by appointment in our store in Ronsberg.
