Hanwag Schnürsenkel 160 cm

The 160 cm Hanwag shoelaces are round replacement laces for footwear requiring the corresponding length. This version belongs to manufacturer reference 8647. Their core-and-sheath construction combines an inner core with an outer covering. Hanwag describes the laces as smooth-running and hydrophobic, meaning they have a water-repellent treatment. The older Hanwag manufacturer catalogue assigns a length of 160 cm and a diameter of 6 mm to reference 8647. Before replacing your laces, compare both measurements with the existing laces and the shoe's eyelets. Required length depends on the number and arrangement of lacing points. Sharing a footwear brand therefore does not automatically establish that this particular version fits every model.

Thread the replacements evenly through the intended eyelets or hooks and check that enough length remains for your usual knot. Distribute tension across the foot without overtightening individual areas. Recheck the fit after the first few steps and retie if needed. Remove dirt gently and allow wet laces to dry. When replacing worn laces, also inspect the eyelets for damage or sharp edges so that the new pair does not abrade at the same point. Select length and thickness together rather than using colour as the only guide.
