Trelock Rahmenschloss RS 453

The Trelock RS 453 PROTECT-O-CONNECT is a frame lock for everyday bicycle security. It blocks the rear wheel and stays mounted on the bicycle, keeping it ready for short stops. This 8004815 version has a 72mm wheel opening. Its PROTECT-O-CONNECT connection lets you add a compatible plug-in chain or cable to secure the bicycle to a fixed object as well as immobilising the wheel.

Selection and use

Before fitting, check clearance around the tyre, mudguard and frame, together with the mounting points on your bicycle. The opening width alone does not establish compatibility. Choose any additional chain or cable to match the lock interface. Immobilising the rear wheel does not prevent someone from carrying the bicycle away, so consider the parking location and an appropriate additional connection.

Care and inspection

Check the mounting, key and locking shackle regularly. Remove dirt gently and follow Trelock’s instructions for cylinder care. Fully open the lock before riding and check that the shackle is clear of the wheel. Keep the key details somewhere accessible for future reference.
