Radical 88 smoke blue

Lightweight all-rounder, classic tours

Light uphill, easy to steer, harmonious on the descent: the Radical 88 is the perfect ski for every day and all conditions.

FEATURES

The consistent evolution of the popular classic keeps the proven shape and basic character, but sets new standards in technology and looks: with an 88 mm waist width, the ski proves to be a true all-rounder for any terrain. While the rocker construction allows playful turn initiation, the interplay of poplar-paulownia core, carbon stringers and ABS sidewalls provides maximum stability. Through the targeted use of ultra-light paulownia, the weight has been reduced by a full 12% compared with its predecessor, a noticeable relief on every ascent. The new generation also underlines its technological ambition visually: a transparent centre section offers a glimpse of the inner workings and makes the natural raw material wood visible. Since the grain of the core varies individually, every ski becomes a true one-off.

      Check before choosing

      • Compare only lengths supported by the reviewed guidance for this model.
      • Consider your ability and intended use. For touring, also consider whether ascent or descent matters more to you.
      • Check ski, binding and boot compatibility separately.

      Measure your height and weight

Stand upright against a wall without shoes and measure from the floor to the top of your head.
      1. Stand against a wall without shoes, looking straight ahead.
      2. Ask someone to measure from the floor to the top of your head in centimetres.

      Frequently asked questions

Advice on choosing touring skis, bindings and climbing skins.

      Get expert advice

      • How do I check what is included and choose bindings?

Check the product description to find out whether bindings are included and which model comes with the offer. Clarify any uncertainties with us before choosing additional bindings.

      • How do I choose touring ski length?

Alongside your height and skiing ability, consider the balance between climbing and descending. Weight, waist width and construction affect how the ski performs. A personal recommendation takes your terrain and touring style into account.

      • What needs to match for bindings and skins?

Check the ski, binding and boot specifications for the exact combination. Pin bindings require suitable boot inserts. Skins must match the ski in length, width and attachment; ski crampons must suit the binding system and ski width. Check the product details and clarify any uncertainties before buying.
