Race Face Aeffect R 1x Dropper Post Remote

The Race Face Aeffect R 1x Remote is a mechanical control lever for a compatible dropper seatpost. It sits below the left side of the handlebar, using the space left free by the absence of a front shifter on a 1x drivetrain. The thumb operates the post while the hand remains on the grip. This black version, manufacturer reference F50169, is a separate control lever rather than a complete seatpost.

Version and details

• Black Aeffect R 1x Remote.
• Mechanical cable actuation.
• Mounted below the left side of the handlebar.
• Designed for a 1x drivetrain cockpit layout.
• Check compatibility with the exact seatpost before installation.

Selection and use

Compare the lever, cable routing and attachment with your seatpost instructions. Use the manufacturer’s Aeffect R documentation and check approval separately for other post families. Leave enough space beside the brake lever and grip. Adjust the remote so your thumb can reach it without compromising your hold on the handlebar.

Care and inspection

Observe the specified tightening torques and check that the lever returns correctly after installation. Inspect the cable and housing for kinks, wear or drag. If installation or compatibility is unclear, have a bicycle workshop check and assemble the system.
