Race Face Headset Spacer Kit 1 1/8" Carbon

The Race Face Carbon Headset Spacer Kit supplies spacer rings and a top cap for a compatible 1-1/8-inch steerer. The carbon spacers adjust the spacing around the stem within the permitted assembly height. Different ring heights allow a stepped combination. The kit is an option for a new cockpit build or the proper replacement of corresponding bicycle parts.

Selection and use

Check the steerer diameter, remaining steerer length and the fork’s permitted spacer height. Follow the requirements for the stem and headset as well. The top cap is used to set bearing preload in the intended assembly. Use a bicycle workshop if you are unfamiliar with the correct fitting order and adjustment.

Care and inspection

After assembly, check steering movement and inspect the headset for play. Regularly check the parts for cracks, damage and unusual noises. Have the assembly examined before the next ride if anything feels abnormal. Use cleaning products suitable for the components according to their manufacturers.
