In emergency situations, speed matters. That's why the aluminum probe with 240cm length has been made even more efficient.
Thanks to the optimized PFA system, the ALU 240 PFA is now MORE COMPACT in pack size while also offering better handling. The quick-clamp loop allows immediate opening and clamping with one hand. To determine burial depth and optimally adjust shoveling strategy, all Ortovox probes feature easy-to-read DEPTH MARKINGS and a clear 1-METER MARKING. The bottom segment in neon orange provides a visual cue as you approach the buried person when shoveling. The new, improved RUBBERIZED GRIP of the ALU 240 PFA also provides secure, ice-free handling in all conditions.

PFA quick-clamp system 2.0 
The successor to the often-copied quick-clamp system is even SLIMMER while maintaining the same smooth, proven clamping performance, making it even MORE PACKABLE. The NEW QUICK-CLAMP LOOP allows you to tension the probe directly from its sheath. Relaxing is done by thumb pressure against the system cover.

Visual guide system
The intuitive visual guidance system gives you a quick and clear indication of BURIAL DEPTH at all times. Thanks to the clear 1m marking, the CONTRASTING DEPTH SCALE, and COLORED END SEGMENTS, you can OPTIMALLY ADJUST YOUR SHOVELING STRATEGY and save valuable time. The bottom, neon orange segment shows you when you're approaching the buried person.

Quick-release sheath
The quick-clamp loop allows immediate OPENING AND CLAMPING WITH ONE HAND, without having to remove the probe from its sheath first.
Voluminous probe tip
The significantly larger diameter compared to the probe elements promises better penetration.

 

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
