Holmenkol Plexiklinge 5mm

The HOLMENKOL Plexi Scraper with a thickness of 5 mm is a plexiglass blade for ski base maintenance. It removes excess hot wax after you have waxed your skis. Measuring 130 x 60 x 5 mm, the blade is one of the tools used for the step between applying wax and brushing the base.

Scrape off excess wax

Follow the processing instructions for your wax and the care instructions for your skis. Set the iron to the temperature recommended for the wax and allow the wax to cool sufficiently after application. Remove excess wax from the centre groove with a suitable groove tool. Then use the plexiglass scraper on the flat base surface. Brushing and polishing the base are the following steps and are carried out with suitable base brushes. These tools serve different purposes during ski preparation.

Inspect the blade before use

Check the working edge for visible damage before starting a waxing session and remove attached wax residue. Keep the edge clean between steps so that you can work carefully on the base. Check the stated thickness of 5 mm when choosing a replacement for an existing scraper or adding a blade to your maintenance equipment.
