Salewa Ortles Medium 3 RDS Down Jacke Women willow

Whether as an insulating mid-layer or as a third layer: The latest version of the Ortles Medium down jacket is one of Salewa's warm insulation jackets and was designed for alpine activities in icy temperatures. The jacket combines high thermal performance with minimal packed size. The down jacket uses a 90:10 blend of duck down filling and TiroWool® Hybrid-Responsive insulation. The two insulating materials are positioned so that different body areas can be provided with exactly the right amount of heat retention. The duck down is certified to the Responsible Down Standard and keeps you pleasantly warm in bitter cold with a loft rating of 750 cuin. The TiroWool® Responsive material also warms when wet – which is why it is used on the hood, shoulders and sleeve cuffs.

The lightweight nylon ripstop outer material protects against abrasion in the meantime and is thus ideal for alpine activities. The soft, snug, rear-adjustable hood and high collar provide additional protection when it's stormy and uncomfortable. The ergonomic fit of the sleeves and shoulders enables high freedom of movement and prevents the jacket from riding up during overhead movements.

The two-way front zip is also particularly practical for climbing because it always keeps access to your harness and belay device open. If it gets too warm, the jacket can be quickly and easily stored in its own pocket.
