PAF-System
The PAF (Pressure-Absorbing-Fit) System is an innovative system that distributes heel tension while improving heel fit.
The strong tension band is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon.
There it is connected with softer rubber, which functions like a "bridge" and allows complete adaptation to individual heel shape.
The holes at the top of the PAF serve as indicators to recognize how strong the tension/support is.
1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for medium tension, 3 holes for strong tension.

M72-Rubber
The S72 is a rubber developed and tested by Scarpa with highest friction.
This soft rubber mix achieves a Shore A hardness value of 72, which allows the material to adapt ideally to the surface and guarantees excellent mechanical grip.
S72 is equally suitable for use on rock and in the hall.

Resole able
This shoe can be resoled at an official Scarpa dealer.

Upper material
Soft microfiber upper material.
Velcro with elastic loop allows for easy entry.

Active randing
TA - Tension offers the advantages of a dynamic tensioning system without adding extra material under key toe positions.
The TA (Toe-Abductor) Tension System works with your foot muscles and improves toe strength while minimally disrupting the foot's flexor muscles.

3/4 length nylon 1.4 mm insert from heel to toe helps distribute force across the entire foot.
