Swiss made
Since 1935, Stöckli has stood for Swiss ski making. The same rigour shapes the factory in Malters and the road to the big race courses.
In Malters, every Stöckli ski is built in more than 140 work steps. Craftsmanship and modern manufacturing mesh precisely.
Stöckli's journey in the Swiss-Ski Pool began in 1994. In 1996, Urs Kälin took the first World Cup win. Racing experience still flows into development today.
The Stöckli Orea AX is the understated, anthracite-coloured all-mountain variant from Stöckli's Orea collection: a versatile piste and off-piste ski for skiers who value precise edge grip and a reduced, unobtrusive design.
Instead of eye-catching graphics, the Orea AX relies on a minimalist, matt topsheet in dark anthracite with an embossed Stöckli emblem. At Stöckli, the Orea line stands for reduced aesthetics with unchanged high technical substance. As an all-mountain ski it is designed for groomed pistes and, thanks to its moderate waist width, also copes with changing conditions and light spring snow off the track.
| Waist width | 80 mm |
|---|---|
| Sidecut | approx. 118-123 - 80 - 108-112 mm, depending on length |
| Lengths | 163 / 168 / 173 / 178 / 183 cm |
| Radius | approx. 13.5-17.5 m, depending on length |
| Rocker | All-Mountain Rocker in the tip, tail rocker at the ski end (AMR/TR) |
| Core | Poplar and beech wood core with Titanal reinforcement |
| Edge & sidewall | Racing Sidewalls Black (RSB): racing sidewall connected directly to the edge |
| Surface | Embossed topsheet, matt anthracite design with integrated brand emblem |
| Factory edge tuning | Base angle 1.5°, side angle 2.0° |
| AMR (All-Mountain Rocker) | Moderate rise in the tip area that makes turn initiation easier on changing terrain without compromising smooth running on hard piste. |
|---|---|
| TR (Tail Rocker) | Slightly raised ski end that allows relaxed, controlled finishing of turns. |
| Flex Torsion Control | Targeted, S-shaped cuts in the aluminium. Comfort and control perfectly combined. |
| RSB (Racing Sidewalls Black) | Sidewall construction taken from racing, in which the sidewall connects directly to the edge. This ensures immediate power transmission to the edge and high durability. |
The Orea AX combines a light poplar-beech wood core with Titanal reinforcements, which keeps swing weight low without compromising on edge grip in medium to tighter radii. The Racing Sidewalls construction (RSB) ensures direct, instant power transmission to the edge, as you would otherwise expect more from thoroughbred race skis. Combined with the moderate all-mountain rocker, this makes the Orea AX a ski that perfectly unites comfort and versatility in one ski. Precision with little effort makes this model a true dream ski.
The Orea AX is aimed at ambitious to skilled piste skiers looking for a versatile ski for medium turn radii with active forward pressure. It is piste-oriented but, thanks to its moderate waist width, also suitable for changing conditions and occasional excursions off the groomed piste. If you prefer a reduced, unobtrusive design without large-area graphics, the Orea AX is also the most visually restrained variant in the Stöckli all-mountain range.
Binding & length: We offer the Orea AX with various Stöckli binding and plate combinations. If you have any questions about the right length or binding choice for your skiing style, just get in touch. We are happy to advise you.
