Scarpa Mescalito GTX - Dark Olive Grey

The Scarpa Mescalito GTX in Dark Olive/Gray is a low-cut approach shoe for technical paths and mountain walks. Water-repellent suede is combined with a stretch tongue and flexible collar. The GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining provides waterproof, breathable weather protection. Lacing that extends towards the toes allows the forefoot fit to be adjusted precisely.

Its sole construction combines dual-density EVA with a stabilising TPU insert. The Dynamis LB outsole uses Vibram Litebase technology and Megagrip rubber. A rubber toe cap and protective side rand support use on rocky ground. Select the shoe for the route and your level of experience; it does not replace any climbing equipment required for the outing.

Try on both shoes with the socks you intend to wear on the trail. Check for a secure heel, room in front of your toes and evenly distributed lace pressure. An inclined surface helps you assess the fit when walking downhill. Break new footwear in on shorter walks before committing to a longer trip, and choose your size for the actual fit rather than the number alone.

After your outing, gently remove dirt and small stones from the upper and outsole. Let damp footwear dry at room temperature, away from radiators and open fires. Use suitable leather care products according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check the laces, hooks and sole tread before your next trip. Route choice and careful foot placement still matter on wet rock or loose ground.
