Check the fit around your forehead and ears. The headband should lie smoothly without creating pressure points. Adapt additional layers to temperature and effort, as warmth requirements can change between an ascent and a longer stop. When using it with other equipment, check that everything still fits properly and leaves your view clear.

Care and inspection

Follow the care label and clean the hat gently with similar colours. Avoid unnecessary heat and vigorous wringing. Reshape it carefully after washing and let it dry completely before storage. Keep exposed hook-and-loop fasteners and rough equipment away from the knit so that threads do not get pulled.
