Swiss made
Since 1935, Stöckli has stood for Swiss ski making. The same rigour shapes the factory in Malters and the road to the big race courses.
In Malters, every Stöckli ski is built in more than 140 work steps. Craftsmanship and modern manufacturing mesh precisely.
Stöckli's journey in the Swiss-Ski Pool began in 1994. In 1996, Urs Kälin took the first World Cup win. Racing experience still flows into development today.
The Stöckli Laser MX is the most approachable ski of the Laser series: a carver tuned specifically for women skiers that puts comfort and control first without giving up precise edge grip.
The Laser MX is designed as a "Women Sport Carving Ski": the comparatively generous waist width of 71 mm gives a secure feel in a wide variety of piste conditions, while the lightweight construction together with Softflex technology (SF) and Turtle Shell makes for relaxed, energy-saving skiing all day long. The adaptive edge contact in the tip area (ACL) makes the ski approachable when tilted onto its edge yet still precise, and the extended tail rocker also makes it easier to finish turns.
| Waist width | 71 mm |
|---|---|
| Sidecut | 119-71-101 mm |
| Lengths | 146 / 152 / 158 / 164 cm |
| Radius | approx. 11-14 m, increasing with length (146 cm approx. 11.0 m to 164 cm approx. 14.3 m) |
| Rocker | ACL tip with progressive edge contact, tail rocker |
| Core | Sandwich construction made of lightweight European woods (Light Core) |
| Edge | SME Light, lightweight metal edge |
| Base | Racing Graphite |
| Surface | Turtle Grip, textured polyamide topsheet |
| Flex | Softflex - softer flex, tuned for lighter women skiers |
| Torsion control | Turtle Shell, targeted Titanal cut-outs |
| ACL | Adaptive Contact Length: the tip progressively builds up edge contact as you edge, instead of gripping at full length immediately. This makes the ski approachable when initiating turns and still precise. |
|---|---|
| Tail Rocker (TR) | An extended, flatter rocker in the ski tail makes it easier to finish turns and takes pressure off the edge towards the end of the turn. |
| Light Core (LC) | Light sandwich core made of selected European wood species, reducing turn weight without sacrificing stability. |
| Softflex (SF) | Thinner individual layers and lighter materials give a softer flex, which reduces the effort required and increases comfort for lighter women skiers. |
| SME Light | Slim, weight-optimised metal edge that provides edge grip while keeping the overall weight of the ski low. |
| Turtle Grip (TGR) | Textured polyamide surface on the topsheet that provides extra grip when carrying and handling the ski. |
| Turtle Shell (TS) | Targeted cut-outs in the Titanal layer that keep the ski torsion-neutral: they provide smooth skiing at low speed and even edge grip at higher speed. |
The Laser MX relies on a particularly light sandwich core construction (Light Core) combined with a slim metal edge (SME Light) and Softflex technology. The result is a ski that can be guided with noticeably little effort. The comparatively wide waist of 71 mm and the radius, which increases from short to long lengths, make controlled, secure turns easy, while ACL and tail rocker further ease turn initiation and finishing. Overall the most comfortable and forgiving ski of the Laser family: playful rather than demanding, but with the same racing know-how at its core.
The Laser MX is tailored specifically to the needs of women skiers who value comfort, control and a secure feel, from the advanced recreational skier to the sporty piste skier who wants to enjoy longer days without fatigue. Thanks to its lightweight construction and soft flex, it is also easy to handle for lighter and less powerful skiers, while remaining precise enough for clean turns on groomed pistes. The ski prefers well-kept pistes and is not designed for deep snow.
