Skylotec Falanx Screw

The Skylotec Falanx Screw is a compact aluminium carabiner with a manual screwgate for climbing and mountaineering. The model reference is H-1013; choose from the colour variants offered in the shop. Its asymmetric D shape and H-profile provide a slim construction with geometry oriented around the major axis. A keylock nose makes clipping and unclipping suitable connection points easier.

The manufacturer’s catalogue lists breaking strengths of 22 kN on the major axis, 7 kN across the minor axis and 7 kN with the gate open. Gate opening is 19 mm, external dimensions are 102 × 58 mm and reference weight is 45 g. Breaking-strength figures are test values, not permitted working loads. The shape and screwgate do not automatically prevent incorrect positioning or unintended opening.

Before each use, inspect the body, nose, gate and locking mechanism for damage and correct operation. Close the screw sleeve after clipping and check the lock as described in the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure appropriate orientation and compatibility with the rope, harness and other components. This product description replaces neither the user manual nor practical training. Clean and store the carabiner according to manufacturer guidance, and have unusual or damaged equipment assessed by qualified staff before further use.
