CONTEC DLUX 80 E+ E-Bike Front Light 80 Lux

The CONTEC DLUX 80 E+ is an e-bike front light for a suitable 6–12 volt DC lighting system. Its Osram LED is rated by the manufacturer at 80 lux and 170 lumens with 2 watts of power. A universal bracket and removable front reflector complement the black aluminium housing. This version carries a German approval mark. The approved light output of your e-bike system is essential when choosing it, because battery voltage is not automatically the voltage supplied to the lighting.

Selection and use

Have the light-output compatibility, wiring and permitted load of your drive system checked. Do not connect the light directly to a 36 or 48 volt battery. A bicycle workshop can perform connection and alignment. Aim it to illuminate the road without dazzling others and check operation before every ride.

Care and inspection

Clean the lens, reflector and housing with a soft cloth. Check the bracket and wiring for looseness or damage. Avoid directing a pressure washer at the light or connections. Have faults and damaged wires repaired correctly and recheck cable clearance after work around the handlebar.
