Grüezi Bag Biopod Down Wool Ice 200 night blue
Description
HIGH-QUALITY SLEEPING BAG FOR USE DOWN TO FREEZING POINT
The Biopod DownWool Ice is the ideal companion for trekking, camping and mountain tours down to freezing point, or as a 3-season sleeping bag for those who feel the cold.
Its comfortably cut mummy shape makes it light and small when packed. The pillow pocket is also very practical: simply slip in a fleece jacket, for example, and you have a pillow that doesn't slip while you sleep.
The mummy sleeping bag has an innovative zip layout that lets you comfortably rest your feet on top of the sleeping bag when it gets too warm.
Deep and restful sleep is especially important after an active day. That is why our sleeping bags are cut more comfortably, while we also pay attention to low weight and small pack volume.
Unique to our DownWool sleeping bags is their innovative insulation: DownWool is a natural insulation made of 70% down and 30% wool and combines the advantages of both natural materials. Very good insulation and a pleasant, comfortable climate.
HOW THE UNIQUE DOWNWOOL INSULATION WORKS
The natural high-end DownWool insulation is a blend of 70% high-quality RDS-certified down, which provides high insulation, and 30% wool from the Alpine region, which acts like a light natural air conditioner. The combination is perfect. Nothing insulates as well as high-quality down. The 30% wool content absorbs any moisture that forms and thus keeps the down drier in a natural way. Down has a very high insulation performance at low weight. However, down only insulates as long as it is dry and fluffy. As moisture increases, the fine branching of the down collapses, which considerably reduces the insulating effect of the down. Down is therefore often treated with water-repellent agents. With DownWool, this becomes unnecessary thanks to the added wool content. This is because wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without losing its insulating effect. Furthermore, wool is very good at balancing temperature and naturally creates a cosy, pleasant microclimate.
The result is a unique sleeping climate, which means the temperature range in which you feel comfortable and sleep well in a DownWool sleeping bag is exceptionally wide. This makes DownWool sleeping bags popular all-rounders.
