Swix Bio-R8 Performance Wax 180g

SWIX Bio-R8 Performance Wax is a hot wax for preparing and maintaining ski and snowboard bases. This version contains 180 g. Its specified use range is −2 to +10°C. The fluorine-free wax uses biodegradable ingredients according to the manufacturer and is intended for warmer conditions. It is supplied in cardboard packaging.

Match wax and conditions

Choose the wax for the temperature, snow type and intended use. A clean, prepared base helps with even application. Classic cross-country skis have separate glide and kick zones; use glide wax only on the intended areas.

The use range in the snow is different from the waxing-iron setting. Follow the packaging and the ski or snowboard manufacturer's instructions for application.

Hot wax and finish

Clean and dry the surface being treated. Spread the wax with a suitable waxing iron and keep the iron moving. Avoid unnecessary heat exposure at one point. Allow the wax to cool as directed before scraping off excess material and exposing the structure with appropriate brushes.

Keep the wax and working area free from filing dust and dirt. Store the pack clean and dry after use. Inspect the base before the next outing and match subsequent care to its wear and condition. Follow the preparation sequence for the particular wax rather than treating every product in the same way.
