Black Diamond Toolbox

The Black Diamond Toolbox is a carrying bag for sharp winter equipment such as crampons, ice screws or suitable pitons. Tough nylon fabric keeps these items together inside luggage and helps reduce direct contact with clothing or other equipment. A quick-release clip and hook-and-loop closure secure the opening. Drain holes allow moisture to escape. The bag supports organised packing inside a rucksack; sharp items should still be stored with their intended protective caps.

Selection and use

Before packing, check that your equipment fits fully inside and that the closures fasten without excessive tension. Fit any point protectors and arrange the items so no sharp end presses against the opening. Position the bag carefully inside the rucksack as well. Equipment shown in illustrations is for demonstration and is not included.

Care and inspection

After an outing, remove wet equipment and dry it separately according to its care instructions. Gently remove dirt from the bag and keep the drain holes clear. Inspect the fabric, seams, clip and hook-and-loop surfaces for damage. Store the bag and contents only when dry and replace a punctured or otherwise damaged bag.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up. Statutory warranty rights apply, plus the manufacturer's guarantee where one is granted. You can return unused items within 14 days of receipt; register the return in your customer account.
