The Backcountry Light is the all-rounder in the Augment product world.
Thanks to its medium-width side cut, it is suitable for a wide range of backcountry trips, from enjoyable, rolling ski tours to high alpine adventures.
Lightweight materials ease the strenuous ascent, while construction quality stands for excellent ski performance in deep snow descents, steep couloirs, and enjoyable spring corn skiing.

Fiberglass laminate
These fiberglass layers are arranged in multiple directions and pre-impregnated with a special resin.
They provide perfect tuning of composite properties and even distribution of forces in the ski.
This results in higher torsional stiffness and improves the stability and responsiveness of the ski.

Wood core
The wood core offers an excellent balance between flexibility and stability, resulting in improved feel and precise control.
With a special milling technique, the adhesive properties between wood and other components can be further strengthened, making the ski even more resistant.

ABS sidewall
The sidewall material made of ABS is characterized by its high compressive strength and resistance.
These sidewalls are integrated into various constructions and offer numerous advantages.
One of the most important benefits is stabilizing the transmission of the skier's force to the ski edges when turning.

Base (ultra high sintered base)
These bases are made from high-quality sintered polyethylene with high density, providing high wax absorption and low friction.
These bases offer excellent gliding properties and are wear-resistant.
