Deuter Alproof 32 chestnut-black

The deuter Alproof 32 in chestnut-black is an avalanche airbag backpack with 32 litres of packing space. Its electronic Alpride E2 system uses supercapacitors. The Alpine carrying system holds the load close to the body, with a safety leg loop complementing the harness. A three-way zip opens the main compartment fully for access when packing or retrieving touring equipment.

Selection and use

Check the fit with touring layers and a realistic load. Adjust the straps and leg loop as described in the operating manual, and practise handling before your trip. Before every use, check the system status and fastenings and leave the airbag deployment area clear. Your equipment still needs to include a transceiver, shovel and probe. Avalanche knowledge, assessment of weather and conditions, and cautious route choices remain essential; an airbag cannot guarantee protection against burial.

Care and checks

Follow the supplied Alproof instructions for inspection, cleaning and storage. Do not immerse the airbag system in water. Before thoroughly cleaning the backpack, remove the system as instructed. Store the pack dry and away from direct heat. Observe its manufacturing date, service life and inspection intervals; after use in an avalanche, arrange a thorough inspection through a dealer or the manufacturer.

In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days.
