Hanwag Alaska Lady GTX asphalt

The Hanwag Alaska Lady GTX in Asphalt is a high women's trekking boot. It is designed for longer walks and trekking trips where a more substantial footwear construction is preferred. A nubuck leather upper is combined with a GORE-TEX lining for waterproof and breathable properties. This grey version belongs to manufacturer reference 13120 in colour 64 Asphalt. Check the fit with your usual hiking socks as well as selecting the correct size.

A one-piece upper design reduces the number of seams. The profiled Vibram Fuora outsole provides contact with the ground, and Hanwag places the model in trekking category B/C. The reference weight of 1,450 g applies to one pair in UK size 5 rather than a single boot. Its construction is designed for resoling, allowing a suitable specialist to assess the soles after extended use.

Try the boots in a downhill stance: your heel should remain held and your toes should retain enough space. Start with a shorter walk to become familiar with lacing and fit. Remove dirt afterwards and let the boots dry away from direct heating. Use care products appropriate for nubuck and membrane footwear according to the manufacturer's guidance.
