The FOX FLOAT X2 Factory 2pos from model year 2022 is an air shock for a compatible mountain bike. This version carries manufacturer reference 979-01-073 and measures 8.5 × 2.5 inches, approximately 216 × 63.5 mm. The air spring can be adjusted to rider weight and frame setup. A manual two-position lever complements the damping adjustments. The Factory version features the characteristic gold-coloured Kashima surface. Have installation and initial setup carried out professionally. A similar shape or matching eye-to-eye length alone is not enough to establish compatibility. Check operation in a safe setting before the first ride.

Care and inspection

Keep moving areas clean and follow the FOX service instructions. Regularly inspect fastenings, seals and visible surfaces. Match service intervals to the model and conditions of use. Do not open the shock yourself. Have oil leakage, damage or a change in suspension response checked by a specialist before further riding.
