Salewa PUEZ WINTER MID PTX W black

Salewa PUEZ WINTER MID PTX W black

The black women's Salewa Puez Winter Mid Powertex is an insulated trekking boot for the colder months. Its higher shaft and weather-resistant equipment suit winter walks, slushy paths and outdoor outings. Traditional lacing is combined with a construction intended to provide foot hold while allowing movement when walking.

A waterproof, breathable Powertex membrane protects against incoming moisture. Primaloft insulation complements the construction for cold conditions. The upper includes hardwearing polyester ripstop, a protective PU rand and the 3F system with Kevlar cables. Inside are the CFF Winter footbed and an Alpine Hemp midsole. A profiled Pomoca Alpine Trekker outsole connects the boot to the ground. Salewa lists a reference weight of 400 grams per shoe for the women's model.

Try the boots with the winter socks you intend to use, checking heel hold and room around the toes. Adjust the laces without creating excessive pressure. Match your route and pace to the conditions: even a profiled sole cannot provide assured grip on smooth ice. After wearing the boots, remove slush and dirt. Let the pair dry in an airy place away from direct radiator heat, and follow Salewa's instructions for cleaning and care before storing them for your next outing.
