The Meindl Ohio Lady 2 GTX in Bordeaux is a women's hiking boot for lighter walks and established trails. Its upper is made from milled nubuck leather. A GORE-TEX lining adds waterproof, breathable weather protection. The construction is geared towards straightforward walking, including day trips through lowland areas and lower mountain ranges.

A leather footbed and Meindl Magic Light Trail outsole form part of this model's equipment. The soft leather upper can be adjusted around the foot using the laces. Try on both shoes with the socks you intend to wear on the trail. Check for a secure heel, room in front of your toes and evenly distributed lace pressure. An inclined surface helps you assess the fit when walking downhill. Break new footwear in on shorter walks before committing to a longer trip, and choose your size for the actual fit rather than the number alone.

After your outing, gently remove dirt and small stones from the upper and outsole. Let damp footwear dry at room temperature, away from radiators and open fires. Use suitable leather care products according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check the laces, hooks and sole tread before your next trip. Route choice and careful foot placement still matter on wet rock or loose ground.
