Meindl Mondello Mid GTX

The Meindl Mondello Mid GTX is a men’s mid-cut shoe from the Comfort fit Wellness Sport range. Reference 5524-01 identifies the black/anthracite version. Its broader shape is intended for feet needing more forefoot room. The model combines an everyday construction with an emphasis on active leisure and walks on appropriate routes.

The upper combines suede and mesh. A GORE-TEX lining adds weather protection, while an AIR-ACTIVE Wellness Sport footbed forms part of the interior. The Meindl Multi Trail Comfort sole supports a cushioned walking movement. Variofix complements the support around the heel. Even with a broader last, the heel should remain secure; simply choosing a larger size is not a substitute for the right shape.

Try both shoes with your intended socks and include a gentle incline when checking the fit. Make sure the toes have enough room and the instep is free from uncomfortable pressure. Adjust the lacing for the support you prefer. Remove dirt gently after use and leave damp shoes open to dry at room temperature. Follow Meindl’s care instructions for suede, mesh and membrane linings. Inspect the tread, seams and lacing regularly, especially before planning a longer walk.
