Meindl Bergamo Identity

The Meindl Bergamo Identity in Dark Brown is a classic leather boot for walks and hiking outings. Version 2769-46 combines a laced, ankle-height upper with an Urban Walker sole by Vibram. It offers a traditional appearance and leather lining for those who prefer this construction for leisure use and paths beyond the pavement.

A distinctive feature of the Identity range is the traceability of its upper leather. The embossed Identity number lets you use Meindl’s service to find information about the origin of the leather used for your particular pair. This links the material’s documented history directly to the boots. The leather upper is complemented by a leather lining and a leather-covered footbed.

The chrome-free tanned lining provides leather contact inside the boot, while the profiled Vibram Urban Walker sole forms the base. Try the boots with your walking socks and check that the heel and midfoot feel secure, with enough space in front of the toes. The laces allow adjustment across the foot and around the ankle.

After use, remove dirt with a brush and some water, then let the boots air thoroughly. Meindl advises against machine washing or drying beside heaters, stoves or in direct sunlight. Care for the leather regularly with suitable footwear wax, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Wax can change the appearance of the leather, so check the care product’s guidance before applying it.
