Holmenkol World Cup File Guide 89°

The 89-degree HOLMENKOL Worldcup File Guide is a fixed guide for working on ski and snowboard side edges. Its aluminium angle sets the working angle and supports consistent guidance of a suitable sharpening tool. It can be combined with compatible ski files, diamond files or oxide stones. This version is fixed at 89 degrees rather than continuously adjustable. A suitable clamp and the sharpening tool itself are required separately and are not included with this guide.

Selection and use

Check the intended side-edge angle of your ski or snowboard first. Secure the equipment and attach the appropriate sharpening tool with a suitable clamp. Follow the instructions for guiding it and check material removal in small steps. The correct guide angle does not replace proper technique; ask a ski service for advice if unsure.

Care and inspection

Keep contact surfaces clear of filings so they sit cleanly against the equipment. Clean the guide after use and store it dry. Inspect the contact faces and edges for damage. Stop using a distorted guide because it can affect the result. Protect the tool from impacts in your service box.
