Swix TS8B Black 40g

Swix TS8B Black is a solid glide wax for skis and snowboards. Reference TS08B-4 identifies the 40 g pack. The manufacturer recommends a temperature range from −4°C to +4°C. It is intended for training and racing and can be used on its own or beneath further race-wax products.

The Black version is formulated harder than the other TS8 products in the PRO system. Its black additive is particularly aimed at dirty snow conditions. Swix describes use on both artificial snow and transformed older natural snow. Appropriate selection depends on snow, temperature and the intended use. The temperature range is a product recommendation rather than a promise of identical speed in every set of conditions.

Follow the directions on the particular pack and the Swix instructions when applying the wax. Work in a suitable, well-ventilated area and avoid fumes or prolonged contact between hot surfaces and the ski base. Use suitable tools and keep the waxing iron moving steadily. Allow the base to cool as directed after application, then scrape off excess wax and brush according to the intended finish. Keep tools clean and collect wax shavings from the work area. Store the wax closed, dry and protected from unnecessary heat.
