Swix T164B Rectangular Brush, Wild Boar

The Swix T164B is a rectangular hand brush with wild boar bristles for finishing waxed skis. Its fine bristles, with a stated diameter of approximately 0.15 mm, are used for brushing and finishing within an appropriate waxing procedure. The correct sequence depends on the wax being used and the corresponding Swix instructions.

Construction and application

• Manufacturer reference: T0164B.
• Shape: rectangular hand brush.
• Bristle material: wild boar.
• Stated bristle diameter: approximately 0.15 mm.
• Application: brushing and finishing as part of a suitable wax preparation.

This is a manually operated ski-care tool, rather than a rotary brush for a drill. Move it over the base as directed by the wax instructions and remove loose wax residue before considering the preparation complete. Pressure, number of passes and any further brushing steps depend on the particular wax system.

Care and storage

Keep accumulated wax residue out of the bristles and store the brush without leaving the bristles compressed or bent. Use clean tools so that dirt or residue from earlier preparation steps is not transferred back onto the ski base.

The brush does not establish whether a particular wax is permitted in a competition. Check the information for the wax and the rules applicable to the event when selecting your preparation products.
