Toko T14 Digital 1200

The TOKO T14 Digital 1200 W is a digital waxing iron for applying hot wax to skis and snowboards. The EU version identified here carries manufacturer article number 5547186. It is intended for users who want to set the working temperature to suit their wax. Adjustment runs from 100 to 160°C, with a built-in microprocessor controlling temperature fluctuations during operation.

The substantial pressure-cast aluminium plate stores heat and has a curved rhomboid pattern that helps distribute wax. Its ergonomic shape allows working movements in different directions. A prepared base, suitable wax and consistent movement also matter to the result. Use the ironing temperature specified on the wax packaging, checking that it falls within the iron's adjustment range rather than choosing a setting from snow conditions alone.

Support the ski or board on a suitable work surface and follow both the iron and wax instructions. TOKO describes moving the iron steadily over the waxed running surface by pushing or pulling it. Avoid leaving the hot plate stationary so the base does not overheat. Keep the work area appropriately ventilated. Disconnect the iron after use and let it cool completely before storage. Subsequent scraping and brushing should follow the instructions for the wax you have applied.
