Holmenkol Eraser 70x50x20mm

The HOLMENKOL Schleifgummi is a granular rubber block for refinishing the steel edges of skis and snowboards. Its 70 × 50 × 20 mm format allows controlled hand use at the intended part of the edge.

Construction and application

It is suitable for removing surface rust and for targeted detuning at the tip and tail. The manufacturer lists this size as article 25550. The compact block complements files and polishing tools used for edge maintenance.

At the workbench

Inspect the edge first. Work only on the areas intended for the chosen preparation and check progress during the operation. The section to be detuned depends on the ski and its intended setup. Remove loosened rust and abrasive residue before continuing work on the base.

Use a stable working area and keep contact surfaces free from wax residue, filing dust and metal particles. Check the attachment of both the tool and the workpiece before beginning. This helps maintain the chosen setup during preparation.

Clean the tool after use and store it in a dry place. Before the next session, inspect moving parts, supports and attachments for visible damage or accumulated dirt. The tool instructions and the requirements of the ski or snowboard manufacturer remain the basis for the particular application.
