Swix PS6 Blue -6°C/-12°C 180g

Swix PS6 Blue is a solid glide wax for cold conditions from −6 to −12 °C. The pack offered here contains 180 g and carries manufacturer reference PS06-18. It is intended for the glide zones of alpine and cross-country skis, with uses including training, recreational skiing and base preparation.

Swix describes PS6 as a versatile wax for both natural and artificial snow. It can be used on its own or as a base for further wax layers. Select your wax according to the conditions and the relevant preparation instructions. On classic cross-country skis, treat the glide zones separately from the kick zone; this pack is not a grip wax.

The recommended waxing-iron temperature is 145 °C. Keep the iron moving steadily during application and follow the information on the packaging. Swix's instructions then call for cooling to room temperature before removing excess wax and finishing the glide surfaces with suitable brushes.

Work at a properly arranged waxing station and follow the safety and application instructions from Swix and the manufacturer of your iron. Clean tools and a prepared base help produce an even result. Keep the wax block clean and protected during storage so that foreign particles are not transferred to the ski base next time.
