Swix PS5 Turquoise -10°C/-18°C 180g

Swix PS5 Turquoise is a solid glide wax for cold conditions from −10 to −18°C. This version contains 180 g and carries manufacturer reference PS05-18. It is suitable for the glide zones of alpine and cross-country skis, for training, recreational skiing and base preparation.

Swix describes PS5 as a durable cold-weather wax with low friction in dry conditions. Its intended use includes fresh, older and artificial snow. Choose your wax according to the conditions at your destination and the stated temperature range.

The recommended waxing iron temperature is 150°C. Apply the wax to the prepared base using a suitable waxing iron and allow it to cool. Remove excess wax with a plexi scraper, then brush the base. Follow the processing instructions on the packaging and those supplied with your preparation tools.

On classic cross-country skis, distinguish between glide zones and the grip zone: PS5 is a glide wax. Prepare your work area and tools before heating the wax and ensure adequate ventilation. Store the remaining block clean and protected after use to keep contaminants away from the ski base.
