Toko Plasto Cork

The Toko Plasto Cork is a synthetic hand cork for working in grip and klister waxes. It complements your service equipment for classic waxable cross-country skis and is used to cork in the wax after application. This lets you work on the wax layer in the prepared kick zone.

Work with grip wax and klister

The linked Toko manual describes Plasto Cork for both applications. When using Nordic Grip Wax, each thinly applied layer is corked in individually. For Nordic Klister yellow, red or blue, the klister is worked in after application with Plasto Cork or Wax Cork. Preparation of the kick zone and any required base layer depends on the chosen wax and your ski's requirements.

Keep the working surface clean

Guide the hand cork carefully across the wax layer being treated. Remove adhering residue regularly so that you start with a clean working surface next time. Before use, inspect its contact surface for dirt or damage, then store the tool clean with your cross-country service equipment. Also follow the application instructions for the particular wax you are using.
