Holmenkol Nordic Ski Waxing Vise

The HOLMENKOL Nordic Waxing Ski Vise is a compact support for cross-country ski preparation. It secures the ski horizontally through the binding, keeping the base accessible for maintenance.

Construction and application

The support is intended for classic and skating skis and is also useful in a portable service setup. The manufacturer describes an aluminium body and rubberised supports. Compare the particular binding attachment and the mounting options at your work area.

At the workbench

Mount the support on a suitable stable surface following the instructions. Check that the ski is secured before cleaning the base, applying wax or brushing. Position the supports so that the ski is held appropriately for the particular operation. Recheck the binding connection when changing to another ski.

Use a stable working area and keep contact surfaces free from wax residue, filing dust and metal particles. Check the attachment of both the tool and the workpiece before beginning. This helps maintain the chosen setup during preparation.

Clean the tool after use and store it in a dry place. Before the next session, inspect moving parts, supports and attachments for visible damage or accumulated dirt. The tool instructions and the requirements of the ski or snowboard manufacturer remain the basis for the particular application.
