Swix HS7 Liquid Violet -2°C/-8°C 125ml

SWIX HS7 Liquid Violet is a fluorine-free liquid glide wax for preparing ski and snowboard bases. The can contains 125 ml. Its labelled use range is −2 to −8°C. The violet version is described for typical winter conditions below freezing.

Distinguish use and application

HS7 Liquid can be used on its own or as a base for compatible additional racing waxes. The liquid is applied to a prepared base and then polished. The −2 to −8°C use range describes the intended skiing conditions rather than the temperature for application.

The manufacturer recommends applying the product at temperatures above +10°C and allowing the film to dry completely for around 15 minutes before polishing. Also follow the label instructions for this version throughout preparation.

Prepare and polish

Clean and dry the glide surface first. Apply the wax as directed and polish the dry film with a suitable nylon brush. Classic cross-country skis have separate glide and kick zones that need different treatment.

Work in an appropriate, well-ventilated space and keep brushes and application surfaces clean. Close the can after use and store it according to the packaging guidance. Before the next treatment, inspect the base and remove interfering residue so that the intended surface is ready for fresh wax.
