Swix HS6 Blue -6°C/-12°C 180g

Swix HS6 Blue is a solid glide wax from the High Speed range for cold conditions between minus twelve and minus six degrees Celsius. This pack contains 180 grams. It is intended for training and racing on cross-country or alpine skis and can also be used for base preparation.

HS6 can be used as a standalone racing wax or as a base beneath suitable additional racing products. Swix describes its use on both natural and artificial snow, with the range focused on durability and glide. Match the wax to the actual snow and temperature conditions. The blue identification helps distinguish this cold-temperature grade from warmer wax versions.

Clean and dry the base before waxing. Use a suitable waxing iron and set it according to the application instructions on your specific pack. Keep the iron moving during application and work in a well-ventilated area. After the wax has cooled fully, scrape and brush according to Swix's guidance and the base structure. Avoid contaminating the wax block with dirt or other materials. Store it cleanly and protected, and check the temperature grade on the label again before preparing your skis for the next outing.
