Start Grip Tape, +5°/-20°C 5m

Start Grip Tape is a kick-wax tape for the grip zone of suitable classic cross-country skis. It is applied as a strip and fulfils the role of kick wax in that zone. The roll contains 5 m of tape. Start specifies an operating range of +5°C to −20°C for this product. Suitability depends on your ski base and its intended preparation method.

Preparation and application

The grip zone must be clean and dry before application. Prepare it according to the instructions, including the light abrasion described in the application guidance. Apply the tape to the intended grip zone, press it down carefully and remove the backing paper as instructed. Allow the prepared ski to cool before use.

The tape belongs in the grip zone of an appropriate waxable ski. Do not spread it across the entire base as a glide wax. For skin or fish-scale skis, follow the ski manufacturer's approvals and care instructions.

Handling and transport

Avoid touching the prepared surface unnecessarily. During transport, avoid pressing the two grip zones firmly against each other. Check the tape's condition before your next outing and follow the product instructions when replacing or removing it.

Usable life depends on snow, distance and wear. The stated 5 m roll length describes the quantity supplied, not a guaranteed number of ski days or kilometres.
