Holmenkol Grip Blue Special -1°C/-6°C, 45 g

HOLMENKOL Grip Blue Spezial is a grip wax for high humidity with new and fine-grained powder or artificial snow. Its stated range is −1 to −6 °C air temperature. This 45 g version is intended for preparing the kick zone of classic waxable skis when moisture, snow structure and temperature match those conditions.

Include humidity in your choice

Check the track conditions before waxing. Within the blue grip waxes, Blue Spezial is the version intended for high humidity. Temperature alone therefore does not fully describe its application. Also consider whether the snow is new, fine-grained and powdery, or whether artificial snow matches the stated use.

Prepare the kick zone deliberately

Remove unsuitable old wax residue as directed by the wax manufacturer and prepare your ski's kick zone. Work in the grip wax following HOLMENKOL's application guidance. Then test kick and glide on a short stretch of track. If humidity or snow type changes significantly, reassess the wax choice rather than relying only on air temperature.
