The compact beacon impresses in avalanche terrain with its absolutely intuitive operation, 70 m range, and features that guide you with maximum efficiency and support through buried-person search – even in complicated rescue scenarios. To increase your own safety on tour, the Barryvox S2 continuously checks its correct functioning with a self-test. For added safety during rescue, the beacon is equipped with a rescue-SEND function and automatic send-mode switching. While searching for buried victims, it guides you with clear instructions in acoustic search guidance and hints on the easy-to-read, animated display to reach your target faster. Thanks to intelligent fine-search guidance, you are reliably guided even in the final meters. Via the Mammut app you can perform updates, configurations, and avalanche training and are thus prepared to make smart decisions even faster in an emergency.

• Voice guidance: Your Barryvox® supports you through supplementary instructions in all search phases. This feature is temporarily unavailable in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the USA.
• Rescue SEND is a protection feature for rescuers not searching in case of afterslip burial by automatically switching to SEND so the rescuer can be located again
• Automatic send-mode switching: safety feature for rescuers searching with a beacon in case of secondary avalanche burial. If the rescuer doesn't move for four minutes, the beacon automatically switches from SEARCH to SEND thanks to a motion sensor.
• Automatic self-test: Your Barryvox® checks your send and search signal when turned on and regularly performs send and battery tests.
• Interference guard: Your Barryvox® manages and reduces signal interference and displays interference disruption in send and search mode.
• Group check: Quickly and easily check the send frequency and strength of other beacons with this function to ensure correct functionality.
